The Story
It all began in December 2015. I was about to travel to the sun but couldn’t find any kimonos or beach cover-ups for my trip. It was the “wrong” time of year. That’s when the idea came to me: why not create a brand that offers beautiful resort wear, all year round?
I never took that trip – instead, I founded My Holiday Wear. A brand inspired by sunshine, slow days, and the feeling of freedom that comes with travel. Together with talented designers and clothing makers we created beach kimonos and cover-ups. I organised shopping events around in Sweden and hosted My Holiday Wear parties in our villa outside of Stockholm but the dream kept growing.
In 2018 De La Troupe was born – A bolder, more expressive concept with limited edition handmade pieces made by talented artisans in India. Lace, sequins, vintage silk, and statement pieces designed for the ones who love unique yet timeless design, artists and anyone who lives through movement and music. In collaboration with DJs and musicians we created podcasts and a soundtrack for the brand — because De La Troupe isn’t just fashion, it’s a feeling.
Today, both brands live side by side — one made for the sun, the other for the spotlight.
Some of our pieces, the kimonos and sunglasses are unisex, created to be worn by dreamers who love to make memories with art covering their bodies.
Along pop up shops at beachclubs in Europe the brands could be purchased in shops and restaurants in Ibiza and Palma, Bambuddha Ibiza, Nagai, Pom Thai Ibiza, Babylon Beach, Ibiza Old Town.
