Which part of Bali is your favorite?
I love the variety of the whole island. Canggu/Berawa which is the area I live in is the trendy hipster area with lots of great restaurants and cafés, Ubud is Balis spiritual hub so I always go there for yoga, meditation and to unwind from the pulse by the coast. Uluwatu in the south is a gorgeous and a world famous surf spot. The waterfalls in the north are breathtaking and the Nusa islands right outside of bali are well worth a trip.

Can you recommend any nice bars, any hidden gems?
707 is a simple beach shack with awesome deep house music for sunsets on thursdays and sundays.
Black Cats in Canggu is a hidden Gem, it is a bar inside a broken refrigerator, doesn’t get more speakeasy than that. Forty Thieves is another speakeasy with good cocktails.
The naked coconut is a beach shack just 5 min from our house which is the perfect spot for a day on the beach

Where do you find the best parties?
Laguna is great for cocktails, the whole restaurant is built as a massive gypsy village. If you are lucky you are on Bali when there is a festival or event at Laguna, there is no greater venue to have a party on.
On a friday the vibe is great at the Lawn, also nice for sunset. After that head over to Jungle in Umalas, it is a cool club in the middle of the rice paddies.
Da Maria is a club with amazing italian food and they have a good sunday party.

If you would visit Bali for the first time, where would you stay?
Depends on what you’re after. If only surf then Uluwatu, If you are on a spiritual journey then Ubud, but if you are on a regular holiday where you want bars and restaurants and nice vibe then Canggu or Berawa.
Any recommendations for the best surf beaches and yoga places?
The yoga barn in ubud is an institution when it comes to yoga. If you like it smaller then Samadi in Canggu is a favorite. Desa Seni is another beautiful yoga spot.

Tell us what we shouldn’t miss out on when in Bali?
Bali is a magical island. I have read that it is the energetic naval of Earth. This place joins the energies of the lower three chakras for our planet.Follow your heart and try a journey inwards whilst you are here and you will feel the energetic vibes of the island within you. There is no place better to grow than here.
